Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Job Description
Shipping and Receiving
• Managing all inbound/outbound freight and documentation
• Physically loading/ offloading freight into and out of van trailers.
• Controlling and updating the goods out communications.
• Coordinating repairable goods shipments with the Inventory Management Specialists for shipping and disposition.
• Updating the truck delivery log.
• Supporting the receipt of freight from all other sources delivering product to site, systematically and physically.
• Working with the Logistics Coordinator to coordinate freight to Cochrane and beyond.
• Complete goods receipts/issuances of other bulk & over-sized material.
• Tires (Review reservation list daily)
• Blasting Tubes
• Belting
• Bowls/Mantles
Cycle Counting
• Counting and processing cycle counts daily.
Reservations Management.
• Monitoring the reservations list in Oracle.
• Picking reservations throughout the course of the day.
• Picking walk-ins throughout the course of the day.
• Coordinating picking and delivery points for daily reservations.
• Coordinating with Planners and Material Planners for shutdowns and PM schedules.
Receiving Deliveries.
• Monitoring the levels daily.
• Requesting deliveries from the vendor.
• Processing the goods receipts for completed deliveries.
• Updating the truck deliveries tracker.
Field work
• Loading inbound/ offloading outbound flatbed
• Organizing and maintaining yards, domes, and Satellite Warehouses.
Site support where needed.
• Housekeeping.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organized as well as clear of debris and safety hazards.
Previous Experience and Qualifications:
• Experience working in a warehousing environment with strong safety conscious attitude
• Can effectively use computer/software for receiving goods.
• Has a valid driver’s license
• Has a forklift ticket
Work Schedule – 14 days 12 hour shifts and then 14 days off at home. This role is in a remote mine camp close to Timmins Ontario. All lodging, meals and transportation will be provided. Note this is an 8 week job assignment with possibility of extension to contract. Wage based on experience.
