Procurement Contract Specialist
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, theProcurement Contract Specialist is responsible for contracts administration, formation, and negotiation of contract terms and conditions. Will lead the pre-award and post-award to finalization of contract documents for the project
PrimaryResponsibilities:
· Coordinating the timely delivery of procurement contracts that meet end-user requirements in collaboration with the corporate legal team and the project team.
· Strong understanding of general commercial contracting regulations and principles and subcontracting practices
· Good knowledge and understanding of legal principles as they relate to commercial and contract management
· Lead the development of contracting strategies, including RFx/Tender, negotiate, pre award reviews and post award contracts, agreements and amendments, as well as manage, terminate and close out contracts as and when required.
· Co-leading negotiations of new contracts and renewals in collaboration with the project team.
· Administer, coordinate and process purchasing instruments (i.e. contracts, purchase orders, etc.) for goods and services. Ensure consistency and compliance with terms and conditions, governing legislation, procurement and contracting policies, guidelines, procedures and signing authorities.
· Strategic sourcing with a strong understanding of global market conditions and how they impact contracts and negotiations of both good and services by proactively facilitating the entire RFP process, including the development of vendor lists, selection criteria, service and material requirements, bid file documentation, bid evaluation, negotiation with suppliers, adjudication of the tender processes and contract management.
· Develop and maintain contract documentation and support contract management throughout the timeline of the service.
· Deliver savings to achieve site cost reduction targets
· Support the continuous improvement and execution of clients’ sourcing strategy, policies and guidelines for service agreements and contracts.
· Ensure compliance with established strategies, contracts, policies, and procedures.
· Manage relationships with key third party providers so as to meet business challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
· Maintain the confidentiality of all Corporation information.
· Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications andExperience:
Collegedegree in a related field plus related certification.
· Professionaldesignation or certification in related area (asset).
· Minimum of 3+ yearsrelevant work experience in procurement and managing large tender processes inthe mining sector and or projects.
- Works independently with minimum supervision and ability to organize and prioritize own work to meet commitments.
· The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
· Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.
· Effective ability to convey messages in an organized, clear and succinct way.
· Strong technical knowledge of contract law and holdback process
· Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
· Experience with SAP S4Hana (asset).
· Technical knowledge and experience in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and/or construction(asset).
