Operations / Branch Manager

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and highly effective Operations Manager for our client in the Greater Sudbury Ontario region.

Your Role:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the organization. This role will manage and oversee compliance of the key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring customer satisfaction, increasing revenue of the division and overseeing operational effectiveness, productivity and quality. The successful candidate will be an important contact for management in key accounts, exhibit excellent leadership and coaching abilities, and as such a high degree of diplomacy and tact will be required to succeed in this role.

What you need to succeed in this exciting role:

Operations management experience:

• Manage efficient company asset utilization, minimize downtime

• Ensure compliance with client contracts

• Direct activities related to various functions including dispatching, routing, and tracking

• Plan, organize and manage the work of staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements

• Implement schedule and policy changes

• Oversee effective key seasonal rollouts for start-up and shut-down

• Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives

• Work with our Health & Safety team, in cooperation with government agencies, to conduct investigations in order to determine causes of incidents and to improve safety procedures

• Follow up on all manners of progressive discipline and coach team members effectively and positively

• Oversee and report on KPI’s for operational targets, deficiency lists and any customer satisfaction survey

• Ensure proper staffing levels of employees by working work with the Talent Acquisition team to attract new candidates and fill operational gaps

• Plan and facilitate safety meetings and bi-annual employee meetings

• Monitor spending and oversee divisional budget to ensure all expenses are consistent and in-line with approved budgets.

• Oversee payroll administration

Customer Service

• You will be the main point of contact for daily operations

• You are integral in the quoting of new business and will ensure compliance to contracts

• You will oversee daily operation’s communication re: internal communication portals with information, maintenance of process, validity of data within the operational system

• You will acts as an ambassador for the organization on and off company property and increase our brand and visibility within the community by participating in company sponsored events

Requirements

Your Profile

• You posses a University or Post Secondary Degree or Equivalent

• You have minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory/management role in operations environment

• You posses a Clean Drivers Abstract and clear Criminal Record Search

• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• You have previous experience working in a dynamic, high demand work environment with specific deadlines, where the role required handling and maintenance of confidential and sensitive materials

• You have advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Adobe Acrobat

• You have the ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings

• You are willing to participate in education upgrading as required
