Mine Production Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Mine Production Supervisor to join our client's team at Craig Mine site in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

The position will be based in Onaping, Ontario.

Site is not accessible by public transportation.

This is a 12 month contract with possibility of extension.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Operation General Foreman for lateral or blasthole, the Mine Production Supervisor is accountable for the front-line supervision of an underground crew to deliver established operational and safety targets. Critical to this role is the promotion and adherence of health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure that work is safely executed at all times. Direct reports are the workers assigned to their crew.

Education and Skills

  • Strong background in mine operations and safety and requires a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Underground Supervisory Common Core is required
  • The incumbent will be required to work shift work.
